COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
 (Irving Berlin)

 When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

waiting in vain...

"If pain must come, may it come quickly. Because I have a life to live, and I need to live it the best way possible. If he has to make a choice, may he make it now. Then I will either wait wait for him or forget him...Waiting is painful.Forgetting is painful. But not knowing what to do is the worst kind of suffering."

When you feel stressed....PRAY!

O Lord, as I come to the end of this day, I invite you into my life and heart.
I have been busy. The pace is hectic and in many cases dangerous. I am
under a lot of pressure. I have responsibilities to both those over
me, and those who work for me. It seems there is no time for me to be
quiet with all the activity that surrounds me. Oh Lord, in this moment,
may all this stress drain away. Help me to relax, to recuperate, and in
this night's rest to be renewed in body, mind, and spirit. Grant me your
peace. Amen.

some men...

Some men tear your heart in two,
Some men flirt and flatter,
Some men never look at you,
And that clears up the matter.

IF A then B otherwise C!

IF everything happens for a reason, can you please tell me what's the reason?
IF every action has a reaction, can you tell me how to react to the action?
IF what meant to be will find a way to come about, can I just wait for it to come about?
IF this too shall pass, can it pass quickly?

what i learned recently

It really is a small world after all...the people you know then is somehow connected to the people you know now.

That it's true that you are free to make your choices but you are not free to choose the consequences

Somebody's getting married!!! soon...

It feels really good to be a full time student!

That I'm not going to either London or Reading this June BUT need to discuss my visit to *where* with YR and NB

That it's not that hard to make an report

That I'll have a whole day class every Thursday next semester...from Engineering to Forestry

the Davids!

With my sisters that are all addicted to the Davis, we watched the concert last night at the Mall of Asia concert grounds. We had a great time, even if we can only see them on the huge screens! =) It's a see of screaming teens!

Our song for the night ...too many barriers and...

Touch my hand

Saw you from a distance
Saw you from the stage
Something about the look in your eyes
Something about your beautiful face

In a sea of people
There is only you
I never knew what the song was about
But suddenly now I do

Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
Reach out as far as you can
Only me, only you, and the band
Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand

Can’t let the music stop
Can’t let this feeling end
Cause if I do it’ll all be over, I’ll never see you again
Can’t let the music stop
Until I touch your hand
Cause if I do it’ll all be over, I’ll never get the chance again
I’ll never get the chance again
I’ll never get the chance again

I see the sparkle of a million flashlights
A wonderwall of stars
But the one that’s shining out so bright is the one right where you are

Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
Reach out as far as you can
Only me, only you, and the band
Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand

Dreams....

I always wonder what's the meaning of our dreams...is it really the subconscious mind telling us something?

Last night, in my dreams, I saw somebody from the past whom I haven't seen in ages...what was that? Then, my horoscope says:

"You're a hard nut to crack, but once you let someone in, you refuse to let them go. No wonder you're struggling so much with old issues right now. If someone from the past is haunting you, work it out immediately. You don't need this drain on your faculties"

Hahaha! the horoscope and the dreams, sometimes...can be TRUE!

choices...

London or Amsterdam?
E-biosphere or not?
Start-up meeting or technical re-designing meeting?
To go or not to go?
To cheat or to be honest?
To date or not to date?
To accept or to reject?
To risk or to be safe?
To take the chance or to forget?
Oh what to do? what to choose?

survey...sort of

Pauline forwarded me the 9 reasons why people cheat...and at the end ofthe article, the author asked this question : If you are single, but seeing a person who is in a committed relationship, does that make you a cheater?

I asked myself the same question, several times...and my answer is NO! Then, I asked a few friends the same question and here's what they have to say:

1: no! it's the person who's in a relationship that's a cheater.

3: ive asked myself that question many times. ang gusto kong sagot is.....hindi naman kasal eh! actually, i wanted to but figured if the guy can cheat on his gf with me...he can do that to me as well.

4: you are not! but the guy is.

Whatchathink??

Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity...

I've been listening to this song over and over and over again...And so at the strike of 4:30 yesterday, I  dragged Mar and Tin to go with me to the salon and had my hair cut short.  Yes, after ?? years, I am no longer Miss Long Shiny Black Hair and I like it! Maybe, I'll let the hairdresser cut it shorter...next week...and set me free, leave me be...

Gravity
Sara Bareilles

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do, I still feel you here 'till the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your rain.

CHORUS
Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while and all my fragile strength is gone.

CHORUS
Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

I live here on my knees as I
Try to make you see that you're
Everything I think I need here on the ground.
But you're neither friend nor foe though I
Can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down
You're keeping me down, yeah, yeah, yeah
You're onto me, onto me and all over

Something always brings me back to you
It never takes too long

Quote of the day: Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous. - Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

The Road Not Taken

Robert Frost (1874–1963).  Mountain Interval.  1920.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
This is one of my favorite poems..written long long before I was born and with 3 different interpreations...I also wonder what was Frost thinking when he wrote it? What's the story behind? What/Who's his inspiration? hmmmm...think, think, think

The Take Home Chef?

or the Take Home Handyman?

I answered...BOTH! hahahaha!
