I will be attending later this afternoon the induction ceremonies of the new members of the Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture. And, yes, as a new member! :) It was a real surprise to me too! I must have been a better student now than in my younger years :)
To those who are wondering what is this Honor Society, below is an excerpt from the society's website.
"Gamma Sigma Delta is an organization having as its objectives the advancement of agriculture in all its phases, the maintenance and improvement of the relations of agriculture and related sciences to other industries, and the recognition of the responsibilities of those engaged in all aspects of agriculture to humankind. Our Society seeks to encourage high standards of scholarship and worthy achievements in all branches of the agricultural and related sciences as well as a high degree of excellence in the practice of agricultural pursuits."
