According to Wikipedia, Retail therapy is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition. Often seen in people during periods of depression or transition, it is normally a short-lived habit. Items purchased during periods of retail therapy are sometimes referred to as "comfort buys".
This is the best (maybe not) therapy for me :) When I'm stressed, I shop! Just last Friday, I rushed to Alabang to have lunch with my sisters and then what, go shopping! At the end of the day, I had purchased a pair of jeans, 4 shirts, 2 blouses and a dress! And, yesterday, I accompanied may sister to buy shoes that she'll be bringing back to SG and... I ended up buying 2 pairs of wedges and a pair of ballet flats for myself. Thinking about it now, I don't have space for more shoes in the shoe rack! Maybe, I should buy a new shoe cabinet?? hahaha!
Oh dear, I think I should not visit the stores for at least 3 months. Maybe the next visit should be before the Christmas rush... But then, I had so much work to do which means more stress :( Errr, maybe that would make me more preoccupied. Or... maybe I should just play more tennis! :)
But anyways, for a moment there while shopping, I forgot all the things about my thesis and the symposium and the databases :D So, I guess, it's all good, very good, actually :)
